College Place Limited is a property development company incorporated in September 2014. CPL is wholly owned by Julia MacKay and is managed by the JMP development and administration team and is operating in the same geographic area as JMP.
All CPL emerging, current and completed projects are for simplicity included on this web site and are identified as CPL schemes in the scheme description.
THE TEAM
JULIA MACKAY
In 2005, using an inheritance from her late father’s estate, Julia began compiling a Chelmsford centric residential property investment portfolio which now comprises over 20 units with further acquisitions planned. By 2009 Julia, in conjunction with Rob, evolved a business strategy whereby Julia commenced trading as a sole proprietor, utilising private investor funding/rationalisation of her investment portfolio, to produce equity to invest in property development for sale or retention, creating further investment properties and thereby organically increasing the scale and value of her portfolio.
ROB MACKAY
A Chartered Civil Engineer working in the property development industry since 1985, the back catalogue of successfully completed schemes taken from site identification to purchase, through planning to completion of sales by Rob is substantial covers a wide range of different project types, from single large houses in the countryside, to multi-unit town centre apartment schemes and everything in between, including commercial property development. Rob has also been responsible for crafting Ben’s progression through each stage of the building and development world to arrive to where he is now - MD of his own property development company, a sister company of JMP and already a busy, expanding company.
BEN DYER
Ben, Julia’s son, joined Julia MacKay Properties in 2009, labouring on sites and learning the construction ropes – which didn’t take long!
In 2012, Ben and Julia set up Dyer MacKay Developments Limited (DMD), and Ben managed the construction of DMD’s first development- Salmon Parade, in Chelmsford. He then went on to project manage the construction of several major developments under the watchful eye of Rob and Julia. Ben now runs DMD acquiring new sites and developing them with his own team whilst still remaining in JMP.
